Barley Real Estate was established in 1958 by Bill Barley and has been serving the greater Charleston South Carolina area ever since... that’s over 50 years of helping people, just like you, with their real estate needs. We specialize in personal and professional real estate sales and appraisal services.

Our company has evolved over the years and we have worked in several different aspects of the real estate industry. In the early days, the company was originally founded in the late 1950’s to specialize in insurance and originating mortgage loans. In the early 1960’s, we started selling real estate and formed a construction company to build new homes. We primarily built in the East Cooper area, in what are now the older, established neighborhoods, as well as on Sullivan's Island and the Isle of Palms. In the mid 1970’s, we started performing real estate appraisals and continue to do so today. Currently, we sell real estate and perform appraisal services in the greater Charleston area, as well as Berkeley and Dorchester Counties.

We will strive to do an outstanding job for you!  When you buy or sell property, there are many things to do, many decisions to make, and many other people involved.  You will have to deal with: mortgage lenders, home inspectors, real estate appraisers, surveyors, pest control companies, contractors, insurance agencies, and closing attorneys, just to name a few.  A real estate transaction can take on a life of its own, with many unforeseen challenges.  You need an experienced real estate professional to manage your sale or purchase.
